Role Summary
The Planning Engineer will independently manage comprehensive planning responsibilities for industrial system integration projects across Southeast Asia. This includes providing technical support during pre-sales, crafting solutions, and ensuring successful project execution throughout the entire lifecycle. The position demands a blend of technical knowledge and business expertise, enabling effective project leadership in international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pre-sales initiatives by partnering with overseas sales teams to analyze client requirements, devising overall project plans, conducting solution presentations, and preparing bid documentation.
- Lead detailed planning for medium to large factory construction and intelligent system integration projects, focusing on site layout design, optimizing production processes, material flow engineering, and ensuring seamless system integration.
- Handle equipment selection processes, including quotations analysis, supplier evaluations, and detailed system design for automated logistics technologies like AS/RS, conveyors, sorting systems, AGVs, and robotic arms.
- Coordinate project delivery activities such as organizing technical documentation, ensuring smooth handover to implementation teams, and offering continuous technical assistance to facilitate project success.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry developments in Southeast Asia's intelligent manufacturing sector to constantly refine and improve standardized planning solutions for enhanced local market fit.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possess 5 to 7 years of experience in project planning and pre-sales solution development, having independently led and delivered at least two mid-to-large scale system integration projects.
- Proficient in English, capable of managing overseas client communications, drafting technical solutions, and conducting business negotiations proficiently.
- Skilled in factory layout design, production workflow analysis, material handling systems, and process optimization.
- Hands-on experience with automated logistics equipment, including expertise in selection and detailed design aspects.
Desirable Skills
- Previous involvement in projects within Southeast Asia or other international markets.
- Knowledge of major factory management systems such as WMS (Warehouse Management System), TMS (Transportation Management System), and MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
- Strong capabilities in systems optimization and comprehensive planning approaches.
