About the role
The business is seeking an experienced Workday People Systems Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term assignment to cover parental leave. The role sits within a forward-looking People Technology agenda and will help deliver improvements across Workday, analytics, learning, process optimisation, and newer people technology initiatives.
You will contribute to reporting improvements, automation, learning and capability work, and other enhancements that strengthen the experience of employees and leaders. Workday experience is essential, and experience with Workday Learning, Workday Reporting, and Power BI will be especially valuable.
Key focus areas
- Maintain, configure, and improve Workday and connected people systems.
- Create system solutions that are scalable and align with business needs, employee experience, compliance, and risk requirements.
- Build and manage reports, dashboards, and workforce insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather needs and convert them into practical and sustainable technology solutions.
- Support the FY27 People Technology roadmap, including analytics uplift, learning improvements, automation, and employee experience enhancements.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and release processes for changes, enhancements, and new features.
- Find ways to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and reduce manual work through better system design.
- Diagnose and fix system, process, and data issues while protecting governance and data integrity.
- Assist with audit, risk, and compliance activities so people systems remain within required controls and regulatory standards.
- Spot risks in systems, processes, and data early, and recommend improvements that strengthen security, governance, and control.
- Support a high-performing People Systems function focused on continuous improvement, strong operations, and positive user experiences.
About you
You are likely to enjoy solving problems, working with data, and partnering with others to deliver practical outcomes. You should be comfortable moving between reporting, system configuration, and shaping future improvements across the people technology landscape.
Requirements and experience
- Hands-on Workday experience in a People Systems, HRIS, or HR Technology role is essential, including configuration, business process support, and system enhancements.
- Experience producing reports, dashboards, and insights in Workday Reporting, with exposure to visualisation or reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Workday Learning experience is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with the skill to turn data into useful insights and recommendations.
- A people-first approach and a genuine interest in using technology to improve experiences for employees and leaders.
- The ability to simplify complexity and explain technical changes, systems, and data in clear, practical language for different audiences.
- Experience taking system improvements from discovery and design through testing and implementation.
- Knowledge of governance, security, risk management, and controls in a regulated environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, a continuous-improvement mindset, and a focus on getting maximum value from technology.

Location
