About the Role
We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a People Partner, reporting to the People Transformation & Change Director, to collaborate closely with senior leaders within Consumer Channels. This business manages a deposits portfolio exceeding 300bn, supports approximately 25 million retail customers, and is pioneering advancements in personalized consumer banking experiences across digital, telephony, and in-person services. With around 12,000 colleagues, Consumer Channels represents a dynamic and high-impact segment of Consumer Relationships, focused on driving customer excellence through streamlined, innovative ways of working in a rapidly evolving market landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a strategic People Partner with the Consumer Channels Executive team to translate business priorities into actionable people strategies and measurable results, collaborating with People & Performance (P&P) Centres of Excellence.
- Drive the implementation of the Consumer Channels people strategy aligned with broader Consumer Relationships and Group People plans, embedding organizational purpose and values.
- Lead workforce and capability planning, utilizing data insight to manage demand, capacity, organizational design, role development, and skills enhancement across digital, telephony, and face-to-face platforms.
- Facilitate and sustain rapid change by partnering with P&P colleagues to implement new initiatives, products, and policies optimized for customer-facing operational environments.
- Enhance the operating model and workflows to boost efficiency, reduce barriers, and improve colleague productivity and experience.
- Promote leadership effectiveness and team performance through coaching, talent management, and team development that builds inclusive, high-performing leadership groups.
- Collaborate within the People Partnering team to share insights, refine processes, and deliver cohesive outcomes, embracing agile methodologies and integrating AI tools to augment impact.
Candidate Profile
- Proven excellence in relationship management, coaching, and influencing, built on trust, integrity, and authenticity.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to connect broader contexts, craft compelling narratives, and synthesize complex information.
- Adept problem solver with innovative thinking and a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and focus on high-impact tasks.
- Competent in analyzing diverse data sets to support informed workforce planning and decision-making.
- Knowledgeable about organizational and industry dynamics with a passion for integrating external insights.
- Expertise across core HR disciplines, complemented by experience operating within senior leadership teams.
Working Environment and Culture
This role is based in the UK with a hybrid working pattern requiring at least 40% in-office presence at offices in Bristol or Leeds.
