Outreach & Operations Lead

Role Overview

In this strategic position, you will partner closely with the CEO to cultivate and expand the company's network, connecting with key individuals capable of accelerating organizational growth. Your efforts will focus on engaging technical experts, advisors, investors, operators, potential new hires, customers, and other vital stakeholders. The role demands thorough research, nuanced understanding of target individuals’ expertise and motivations, crafting personalized communication, managing follow-ups, and converting connections into meaningful dialogue.

Key Duties

• Identify and prioritize advisors, experts, investors, recruiters, partners, and industry leaders aligned with business goals.
• Conduct deep research to understand individual backgrounds, skills, interests, and the best approach for engagement.
• Develop succinct, tailored outreach messages and follow-up communications across LinkedIn, email, introductions, and multiple channels.
• Adapt the CEO’s communication tone and voice appropriately to represent the company effectively in all interactions.
• Create relationship maps to leverage warm introductions via existing investors, advisors, founders, alumni, and networks.
• Manage the entire outreach lifecycle: from identification to response handling, follow-ups, scheduling meetings, and subsequent actions.
• Prepare thorough briefings for the CEO, including context, objectives, background, and suggested questions for meetings.
• Maintain and update a detailed CRM documenting all contacts, relationships, discussions, and action items.
• Leverage AI-powered tools, automation, and enrichment technologies to maximize research and outreach productivity without compromising personalization.
• Continuously refine messaging strategies, targeting methods, and channels to enhance response and engagement rates.
• Advance promising conversations beyond initial meetings through driving introductions, providing requested information, and ensuring follow-through to completion.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized four-year institution; preferred fields include technical, quantitative, or analytical disciplines.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in demanding environments such as startups, venture capital, consulting, investment banking, executive search, recruiting, business development, or founder’s office roles.
• Proven ability to convert cold or warm engagements into meaningful conversations with senior leaders, technical specialists, investors, candidates, or difficult-to-reach stakeholders.
• Exceptional written communication skills with a talent for crafting research-based, highly personalized messages that avoid generic templates.
• Strong research and assimilation capabilities to quickly gain fluency in unfamiliar technical or commercial topics, facilitating credible outreach.
• Sound interpersonal judgment and discretion in representing senior leadership externally.
• Advanced use of AI technologies for research, writing, prospecting, synthesis, and workflow automation, with demonstrated skills in building repeatable AI-driven processes.
• Strong organizational discipline in managing multiple active relationships, commitments, and tasks concurrently without losing track.
• Demonstrated high degree of ownership, resourcefulness, and follow-through in less-structured environments with incomplete data.

Preferred Experience

• Background in outreach involving executives, investors, advisors, recruitment, partnerships, or subject matter experts.
• Familiarity with platforms such as LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Attio or similar CRMs, email sequencing tools, contact enrichment, and relationship intelligence systems.
• Experience leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, n8n, Zapier, Make, or equivalents to streamline research and outreach workflows.
• Technical curiosity and the ability to comprehend sectors like mining, chemicals, energy, manufacturing, or deep tech to engage experts knowledgeably.
• Experience collaborating directly with founders, investors, executive recruiters, chiefs of staff, or business development leaders.
• Possession of established networks within industrial technology, mining, energy, defense, manufacturing, startups, or venture capital domains.
