Operator - Finishing Machine

Role Overview

This position is focused on running and adjusting a range of finishing equipment used in print production. The role covers machine setup, operation, quality checks, routine upkeep, and prompt reporting of technical issues to support smooth production flow.

Machine Setup and Operation

You will prepare and run different finishing machines, including Kolbus perfect binders, Muller Martini saddle stitchers, folding units, sewing machines, Wholemberg gathering machines, and cutting machines.

The job also involves configuring automatic die-cutting, foiling, embossing, Brausee folder-gluer, and Bag fabrication machines (Champion) according to the job specifications and the type of material being processed.

Quality Control

During production, you will monitor output to make sure binding is strong, stitching is accurate, folds are precise, and cutting remains aligned. You will also carry out both visual and hands-on inspections to confirm that finished items meet quality expectations.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Routine cleaning of machines is part of the role, along with following the preventive maintenance plan. Any mechanical fault, misfeed, or unusual machine behavior must be reported quickly to the foreman or maintenance team for further action.
