OpenText AppWorks BPM Developer and Support Analyst

Overview

Logic Planet IT Services, a global leader in IT consulting and technology services with a workforce exceeding 10,000 employees worldwide, is looking for an experienced OpenText AppWorks (BPM) Developer and Support Analyst. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting workflow-centric enterprise applications, with a particular focus on financial process automation such as Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Accruals workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using OpenText AppWorks Process Suite/BPM tools.
• Deliver ongoing support and enhancements for finance-related workflow systems.
• Design and implement workflows involving Accounts Receivable, Billing procedures, and Accrual calculations and approvals.
• Integrate applications and services through REST and SOAP APIs to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
• Identify and resolve issues in production environments through debugging and troubleshooting.
• Optimize application performance through tuning and improvements.
• Engage with Business Analysts and stakeholders to gather and clarify application requirements.
• Participate actively in User Acceptance Testing, application deployments, and production support activities.
• Work with databases such as Oracle or SQL Server for data validation and effective application support.
• Collaborate on integration efforts with enterprise financial applications including SAP Finance and Oracle Financials as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Over 4 years' hands-on experience with OpenText AppWorks, OpenText Process Suite, or OpenText BPM platforms.
• Solid expertise in BPMN and workflow design principles.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and SOAP web services integration.
• Basic ability to customize user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong command of SQL, specifically with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
• Experience in debugging techniques, issue analysis, and supporting production environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of workflow-oriented enterprise applications.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SAP Finance or Oracle Financials systems.
• Experience with OpenText Content Server or other document management platforms.
• Insight into financial and accounting business processes.

Functional Knowledge

• Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes.
• Understanding of the billing lifecycle.
• Familiarity with accrual accounting practices.
• Knowledge of financial approval workflows.
