Officer Fire Services

Job Overview

We are seeking an Officer for Fire Services responsible for ensuring fire safety preparedness and response at our plant in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This role involves planning, compliance, supervision, and assurance of fire safety systems and emergency procedures to maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement immediate response plans for all emergency fire calls, including conducting mock drills to ensure readiness.
• Carry out scheduled fire safety inspections throughout the plant premises.
• Utilize Incident Command & Control methods to manage emergency operations and mitigation efforts effectively.
• Guide and support the emergency response team during regular shifts and in emergency situations.
• Maintain readiness and availability of firefighting equipment, communication devices, and fire vehicles such as fire trucks and jeeps.
• Advise management on critical fire safety-related issues and ensure compliance with established fire safety standards, protocols, and checklists.
• Document all shift activities accurately in the log book, occurrence book, and other necessary records.
• Uphold discipline and good conduct within the fire station facility at all times.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science, or BSc in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM), or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering coupled with a Sub-Officer course from a recognized institute.
• Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience with the above educational qualifications.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining accurate records such as log books, occurrence books, and other shift documentation.
• Ability to keep maintenance records for firefighting equipment and related systems.
