Night Porter

About the Role

Inspired Villages is seeking a dedicated Night Porter to maintain safety, security, and a welcoming atmosphere within the village throughout the night. We are committed to fostering genuine communities that enrich our residents' lives every day.

As a Night Porter, your role is crucial in ensuring the village operates efficiently outside of regular daytime hours. You will offer reassurance to residents, attend to overnight needs, and keep the environment clean, safe, and well-organized for the following day.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact during overnight emergencies, managing situations calmly and competently.
• Conduct regular patrols to perform security, fire, and safety inspections across the village.
• Create a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and visitors by providing assistance and information when needed.
• Respond professionally to inquiries about the village's facilities and services.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of public areas during the night.
• Clean and service gym, pool, steam room, and changing areas; monitor and record pool chemical levels responsibly.
• Assist in emergencies including first aid and evacuation procedures where necessary.
• Handle waste management by relocating bins to designated collection points.
• Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of the premises and occupants through the night.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven ability to remain composed, confident, and professional, particularly in customer-facing or safety-critical roles.
• Experience in creating an inviting and hospitable environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Qualifications related to Health & Safety, COSHH, First Aid, or similar are beneficial but not mandatory.
