Role summary
Malomatia is hiring a Network Analyst in Doha, Qatar for a full-time onsite position. The role focuses on protecting and supporting application traffic, managing web application firewall controls, and keeping load balancing and secure connectivity stable across production environments.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and fine-tune WAF policies across platforms such as F5 ASM, FortiWAF, and Imperva.
- Build, adjust, and maintain security rules, signatures, and bot mitigation controls.
- Administer load balancer settings, including virtual servers, pools, and health checks.
- Handle SSL certificate renewals, installation tasks, and certificate chain verification.
- Investigate and resolve application-layer issues involving HTTP/S, API failures, session handling, and cookies.
- Assist with the protected migration of applications into cloud or hybrid setups.
Experience and technical background
The position requires 3 to 6 years of experience in application support, application security, and WAF administration. Practical exposure to F5 WAF (ASM/Advanced WAF), FortiWAF, Imperva, or Palo Alto App-ID is expected, along with experience using F5 LTM/GTM for load balancing and reverse proxy functions.
Applicants should also have working knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management, HTTPS traffic handling, firewall administration, reverse proxy environments, and application hosting landscapes. Experience supporting web applications, APIs, backend integrations, and authentication flows is important, as is familiarity with OWASP Top 10, threat modelling, and secure configuration practices.
Operational requirements
This role includes 24/7 support coverage, with weekend on-call availability when needed. The selected candidate must be prepared to respond to critical incidents outside normal working hours.
