Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Middleware Support Engineer to join a global IT services company specializing in the automotive industry, particularly electric vehicles. The position is based in Chennai, India, and focuses on providing production support, integrating middleware solutions, and managing message flows within complex software environments.
Primary Duties
- Offer production-level support and perform in-depth debugging for critical middleware software and integration components.
- Collaborate closely with Middleware Development and Interface teams to facilitate changes throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Analyze and interpret technical requirements, working alongside cross-functional groups to develop effective integration solutions.
- Support development teams across regions including Americas and EMEA to ensure middleware components are thoroughly tested, deployed, and maintained across various environments.
- Provide expertise and technical guidance on critical middleware components to ensure optimal system performance.
- Design, enhance, troubleshoot, and optimize IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) message flows.
- Develop and maintain message models, sets, and definitions utilizing standards like WSDL, XML Schema, MRM, and TDS.
- Work with diverse message formats including CSV, SWIFT, NACHA, and X12 standards.
- Conduct migrations of WMB 7.0 message flows and message sets to IBM Integration Bus 9.0 or 9.0.0.1 versions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) or a related discipline such as B.C.A. or B.Sc. in any specialization.
Additional Information
This role requires hands-on experience with middleware technologies, particularly IBM Integration Bus and WebSphere Message Broker. The candidate should be comfortable with troubleshooting, development, and maintenance tasks across multiple environments, with strong communication skills to coordinate globally dispersed teams.
