About Logistics & Supply Chain Management (LSCM)
The LSCM division acts as a key architect in crafting and executing strategies that establish Singapore as a premier logistics hub globally. It encourages leading logistics providers and air express integrators to establish their regional headquarters and advanced facilities here. Beyond supporting economic sectors like manufacturing and trade, LSCM collaborates with Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs) to create a world-class supply chain ecosystem enabling BCOs to manage regional and global supply chains from Singapore. The division's scope includes industry research, strategic planning, promotional campaigns, and stakeholder collaboration across public and private sectors.
Role Overview
The role of Manager involves conceptualizing and implementing strategies that foster the growth of Singapore’s logistics and supply chain sectors. This includes analyzing global trends, designing sector-specific initiatives, managing corporate client portfolios, and engaging cross-sector partners to drive industry development and business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze worldwide developments in technology, business models, regulations, and workforce skills to inform and shape Singapore’s logistics and supply chain ecosystem strategies.
- Create value propositions and programs to attract companies across various logistics subsectors to establish headquarters or business operations in Singapore, collaborating extensively within EDB and with external government and industry partners.
- Facilitate the implementation of approved strategies, policy revisions, and industry growth initiatives by coordinating efforts with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary liaison for designated corporate clients, overseeing account growth, project negotiation, execution, and ensuring exemplary client support aligned with EDB service standards.
- Develop and sustain strategic relationships based on a deep comprehension of clients’ operations and needs, refreshing engagement strategies to maximize value.
- Identify and structure mutually beneficial project opportunities that advance client interests and Singapore’s economic goals.
- Provide tailored and standard solutions addressing client challenges, marshaling resources and expertise across EDB, government, and ecosystem partners.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of regional and global industrial trends, governmental offerings, and EDB product portfolios to enhance client engagement and uncover new opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience in strategy development, policy formulation, research, industry growth, or in sectors such as logistics or supply chain management.
- Exhibit strong analytical and conceptual capabilities, with an ability to tackle complex issues using both qualitative and quantitative data to derive insights and practical solutions.
- Showcase sharp business insight with an aptitude for recognizing sector-wide opportunities benefiting Singapore.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership and project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and handle multiple initiatives effectively.
- Communicate proficiently in writing and verbally to clearly articulate ideas.
- Possess effective interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling engagement with stakeholders across all hierarchical levels.
- Be adaptable, responding efficiently to business environment changes and shifting priorities.
- Function well both independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Experience with quantitative data analysis will be considered advantageous.
- Must be a Singaporean citizen.
