Management Company Controller / CFO

Overview

An established alternative asset management firm is expanding its management-company finance operations and is seeking a senior finance leader. This newly created executive role will be responsible for managing the economic aspects of the platform and developing the finance team to support growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management-company profit and loss statement.
• Manage fee economics including management fees, fee-related earnings, and performance fees.
• Lead controllership, treasury functions, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

Qualifications and Skills

• More than 15 years of progressive finance experience within credit, private equity, hedge funds, or multi-strategy alternative asset management firms.
• Comprehensive expertise in management-company financials and asset management economics, with strong FP&A capabilities.
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-entity organizations involving GAAP compliance, internal controls, and external audits.
• Experience in building or expanding a finance team during organizational growth.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or an MBA are preferred.
