Maintenance Worker

Role Overview

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker who demonstrates dedication to public service and professionalism in a secure institutional environment. This position is integral to preserving the safety and functionality of the facility through the upkeep of building structures and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on the facility's physical structures consistent with secure operational standards.
• Inspect, diagnose, and fix issues with machinery and equipment.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, apparatus, and electronic components related to machinery and equipment.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the maintenance plan.
• Supervise and track inmates or residents assigned to support the Maintenance Department.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
• A minimum of two years of experience in general maintenance or construction work.
• Equivalent technical or trade school coursework in maintenance or construction may replace experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Preferred knowledge includes building construction methods and operational building systems.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Compensation & Employment Conditions
