Role Overview

The Maintenance Planner plays a vital role in sustaining peak equipment performance through the creation and management of work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and maintenance plans. Responsibilities include leveraging computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and collaborating with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and optimize labor utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance tasks, work orders, schedules, and plans, including specifying frequency, labor, parts, and associated costs.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of plant equipment, from process machinery to utility systems.
  • Collaborate with operations to maximize equipment uptime and reduce downtime.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisors for scheduling and labor efficiency.

  • Assist in critical spare parts inventory management and procurement.
  • Create and update procedures using OEM manuals, schematics, and industry standards.

  • Preferred: Experience in the food industry.
  • Preferred knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), especially ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Experience with water and wastewater systems is advantageous.
