Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our Virginia facility on the afternoon shift. The role calls for experience in operating machinery in fast-paced environments, with emphasis on maintaining calmness, focus, and solution-oriented thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, perform changeovers, operate, and troubleshoot packing machinery following Arnott’s OH&S, Quality, and Performance standards.
• Ensure smooth running of packing machines and feeding stations on the production line.
• Conduct quality control inspections consistently during shifts.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, and hygiene protocols to keep process areas clean and safe.
• Work independently and team collaboratively to fulfill daily production targets.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
• Provide coaching and development support to team members.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience operating machinery within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confident troubleshooting capability.
• Good understanding of teamwork, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
• Familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing methodologies is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• A mindset oriented towards continuous process improvement.
• Consistent attendance and strong performance history.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills.
