Role Overview

The Localization Coordinator for the APAC region will manage the full scope of localization projects focusing on dubbing and subtitling for film, TV, and digital formats. This role requires strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects, adhere to timelines, collaborate with various stakeholders, and maintain quality standards for localization deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire localization process, from project initiation to final delivery, emphasizing dubbing and subtitling workflows.
• Assist in project planning by setting timelines, resource needs, workflows, and delivery milestones.
• Track and ensure scheduled milestones and outputs meet client expectations.
• Coordinate communication among internal teams, external vendors, linguists, studios, and quality control teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support vendor management, workload distribution, and prioritization for concurrent projects.
• Identify and escalate potential risks or delays with proposed solutions promptly.
• Oversee quality assurance, addressing feedback and managing rework when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with workflow standards, technical specifications, and localization best practices.
• Monitor and assist with budget tracking to optimize resource utilization.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and project outcomes.
• Review project requirements to confirm completeness before project initiation.
• Support innovation in AI and automation tools within localization workflows.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation including status reports, trackers, issue logs, and budget records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in media, communications, linguistics, translation, business, or related fields.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in localization, media operations, or project coordination roles.
• Familiarity with dubbing and subtitling concepts, workflows, and delivery criteria.
• Proficient organizational and project management abilities with multi-tasking capacity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work autonomously, solve challenges proactively, and collaborate across different time zones.
• Background in entertainment, broadcast, streaming, or digital media localization.
• Knowledge of subtitle formats, dubbing scripts, audio/video asset management, and localization software platforms.
• Experience managing relationships with international vendors, freelancers, and production partners.
• Understanding of quality assurance procedures and issue resolution in media localization projects.
• Additional language proficiency is advantageous.
• Excellent time management, prioritization, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and teamwork orientation.
