Position Overview
This role is within the Leasing Services Branch of the Division of Public Works, Department of Accounting and General Services. The position involves independently managing all tasks required for acquiring and maintaining leases for commercial office spaces for various State departments.
Key Duties
- Ensure provision of sufficient office space at reasonable costs promptly.
- Calculate space allocation based on established DAGS standards.
- Research and identify available office locations and analyze lease rates.
- Negotiate lease terms and oversee compliance with lease contracts.
- Handle related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a citizen, national, permanent resident alien, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2.5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in property management, including:
- Researching market rates and lease locations.
- Negotiating leases and preparing related contract documents.
- Monitoring adherence to lease terms and coordinating property maintenance or alterations.
- At least 1 year must be in commercial leasing.
- Valid driver’s license required at the time of appointment.
Compensation
The salary range is $5,527 to $6,728 per month (SR-22, Step D to I), dependent on funding, applicant qualifications, and other factors.
