Lathe Machine Operator

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Lathe Machine Operator to join our team at the Kshipra Unit in Indore. Candidates must have completed ITI in Fitter, Turner, Machinist, or an equivalent trade and have industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the lathe machine safely and efficiently.
• Perform machining of jobs as per drawings and specified dimensions.
• Regularly inspect workpieces for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Use measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
• Ensure daily cleaning and basic maintenance of the machine.
• Adhere to production targets and quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and 5S workplace practices.
• Report any technical issues or machine faults promptly to the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum ITI qualification in Fitter, Turner, Machinist, or related trade.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience operating lathe machines.
• Prior work experience in manufacturing or engineering sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient use of measurement tools.
• Awareness of quality and safety standards.
• Disciplined, responsible, and capable of teamwork.
