Team Overview

The Chemistry Lab plays a vital role in supporting manufacturing by preparing lab-scale and mid-scale solutions and conducting essential product release tests such as pH, conductivity, viscosity, glucose concentration, and HPLC analysis. Employees in this lab gain cross-training in various testing and equipment operations as well as opportunities to contribute to new equipment installations and lab optimization projects.

Work Schedule

This full-time role is scheduled for a 12-hour day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Mondays through Wednesdays and alternating Thursdays, following a repeating cycle of 4 days on/3 days off followed by 3 days on/4 days off.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned laboratory tasks adhering strictly to safety guidelines.
• Perform testing, analyze results, and document findings accurately.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and ensure sufficient supply stock.
• Update and revise documentation including procedures, protocols, and templates as necessary.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment issues within scope.
• Assist in validation of test methods and support process qualification testing activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working in laboratory environments, particularly in solution preparation and raw material manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in raw material and finished product testing using wet chemistry techniques.
• Commitment to maintaining and enhancing laboratory safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with equipment calibration, Installation/Operational Qualification (IOQ), and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to generate data reports, analyze trends, and identify out-of-specification results.
• Strict adherence to quality procedures and principles promoting accuracy and compliance.
• Competence in following and modifying written protocols and procedures for commercial applications.
• Familiarity with validation concepts such as Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ).
• Capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

Applicants typically possess between 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience and hold at least a Level 6 diploma or certificate in a related discipline.
