About Fineco Asset Management DAC
Fineco Asset Management DAC, a Dublin-based subsidiary of FinecoBank S.p.A., operates as an authorized UCITS & AIFM Management Company with MIFID top up, managing around 2 82 ac39 billion assets. FinecoBank, with a 20-year legacy, is a leading European digital-first bank offering an extensive product range including trading, investment, and payment services through a fully proprietary platform. Fineco AM focuses on fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, and Structured Solutions Funds, providing local key supporting functions such as Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Legal. Since its inception in 2018 with 5 employees, Fineco AM has grown to about 95 team members and manages three UCITS Umbrella Funds in Luxembourg and Ireland.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Structured Product Solutions, this role involves participating in a collaborative investment team focused on designing, structuring, launching, and managing Structured Funds. You will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from generating ideas and conducting quantitative analysis to executing strategies and ongoing portfolio management. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams, external investment banks, and service providers to develop innovative solutions that adapt to market changes and investor demands. This role supports a hybrid working arrangement with partial remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new structured investment funds and derivative-based products.
- Analyze market trends and evaluate various payoff structures to select optimal investment solutions at launch.
- Manage the entire fund launch process working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
- Create and improve internal tools for derivatives pricing, portfolio monitoring, risk analysis, and performance reporting.
- Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Operations, Legal, and Product teams to prepare fund documents, investment committee presentations, and board reports.
- Monitor ongoing structured fund performance and risk, ensuring compliance with investment goals and regulations.
- Maintain productive relationships with investment bank counterparts and market participants to facilitate product development and execution.
- Lead continuous improvements in investment processes, controls, and operational efficiencies within the Structured Products platform.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Preferably 5 or more years of experience in investment management, especially in Structured Products or as a Derivatives Trader.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Strong analytical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Visual Basic is an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of derivatives markets, either from trading or structuring roles.
- Passionate about financial markets and investments with a proactive, self-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as a team member.
