Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team based in Limerick. The position involves working specifically with steel-framed modular building projects. This role supports the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Director in managing the financial aspects of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in preparing payment applications including measurement and contract variations supported with comprehensive documentation according to contract terms.
• Support the agreement process of final accounts with clients.
• Prepare monthly Construction Valuation Reports (CVR) and cash flow reports.
• Contribute to project tendering alongside the commercial team and help establish project budgets.
• Maintain risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time monitoring sheets.
• Coordinate with the procurement manager on subcontractor purchasing and regular account reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, minimize costs, and investigate any potential losses.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience in quantity surveying roles within construction or civil engineering projects.
• Commercially aware with an understanding of business and financial principles.
• Minimum of two years of practical experience in a quantity surveying capacity.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations effectively.
