Junior Power BI Developer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Power BI / Dashboard Developer to join a dynamic business intelligence team supporting a financial services client. This role is offered as a remote contract position with an initial term of six months and compensation of £250 per day within IR35 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and sustain interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI tools.
• Compose SQL queries to analyse, validate, and troubleshoot diverse datasets.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to accurately capture and understand reporting demands.
• Improve and maintain the current suite of BI reporting solutions.
• Uphold enterprise standards for reporting processes and documentation.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of two years' professional experience in BI, reporting, or data-centric roles.
• Proficient in dashboard development specifically using Power BI.
• Strong command of SQL for data querying and analysis.
• Familiarity with enterprise data warehousing concepts, preferably with Snowflake.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with business users.
• Previous exposure to the insurance sector is an advantage; however, candidates with experience in other regulated industries are considered.
