Role Overview

The Junior IT Systems Administrator will support senior team members in managing, maintaining, monitoring, and operating both IT and Cloud Infrastructure components. The role involves working with heterogeneous systems including Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and Windows (2016+), and aims to ensure alignment with corporate standards, policies, and best practices, while focusing on documentation and maintaining system uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in the support and upkeep of Linux and Windows server systems using automation and management tools such as Satellite, SCCM, Jenkins, Salt, and Ansible.
• Help maintain and support Windows technologies including Active Directory, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and replication services.
• Document projects, procedures, and operational processes accurately and clearly.
• Participate in scheduled after-hours or weekend maintenance and server updates, offering technical support under the supervision of senior staff.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of two years’ experience working in server or systems environments, with familiarity in Linux, Windows, and/or VMware ESXi.
• Hands-on basic experience with at least one cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as OSI model layers and common network protocols.
• Strong documentation and communication capabilities.
• Motivation to continuously learn and acquire new technical skills.
• Detail-oriented with proficient problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to follow prescribed procedures and policies effectively.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Certifications or practical experience in GCP, AWS, or Azure considered a plus.
