About Severin*s Resort & Spa
Opened in December 2014 in Keitum on Sylt, Severin*s Resort & Spa is a 5-star superior hotel offering authentic island comfort on the unique North Frisian island. Built in traditional Frisian style, the resort consists of a hotel complex and several apartment buildings with a total of 89 tastefully furnished rooms, suites, and apartments. The resort also includes a kids' club, two restaurants, a bar, a smokers’ lounge, and an exclusive wellness area.
Job Role Overview
The resort is seeking a Junior HR Assistant (m/w/d) starting August 1st, 2026 or by arrangement, to work full-time onsite. This position is ideal for candidates who want to start their journey in Human Resources or have some initial experience and are looking for a diverse role with potential growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to the HR department and assist with routine tasks.
- Manage email communication and maintain the HR mailbox.
- Handle and track employee sick leave notifications (AU certificates).
- Prepare documents necessary for payroll processing.
- Coordinate and support interns by organizing and acting as a point of contact during their work period.
- Assist in onboarding new staff members.
- Ensure documentation and compliance of mandatory trainings.
- Collaborate with the Technical Director to support occupational safety efforts.
- Participate in HR projects such as managing employee housing visits, handovers, and inspections.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed commercial training, such as in office management, hotel management, or administration, or an equivalent qualification.
- Some prior exposure to HR is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Enjoy interacting with people and have a passion for organizational tasks.
- Structured, reliable work habits.
- Discretion and sense of responsibility are essential.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Additional Information
The workplace is exceptionally well-equipped and offers a structured introduction to HR duties. The hotel property spans 30,000 m² and comprises 62 rooms across multiple buildings along with 27 studios, apartments, and villas. There are also two restaurants and a bar on site. Remuneration is based on the applicable collective agreement (Entgelttarifvertrag) level 1, ranging from 2,700 to 2,800 € gross monthly, including above-tariff payments depending on qualifications and experience.
