Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Janitor responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within one or multiple client sites. The role requires flexibility to follow specific client guidelines and duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all floor types through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Handle chemical cleaners and cleaning machinery according to safety protocols to avoid damage.
• Maintain restrooms, meeting areas, hallways, and entryways clean and orderly.
• Dispose of trash properly, including using compactors for certain waste materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable products and tools.
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing.
• Restock paper goods and sanitary materials as needed.
• Adhere to established housekeeping schedules.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment occasionally, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Carry out any additional tasks as assigned according to the job scope or client requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent credential; alternatively, a minimum of six months experience in janitorial work.
• On-the-job training will be provided to support your success.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Preferred Experience

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is beneficial.
• Familiarity with commercial custodial best practices and cleaning standards.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including waxing and buffing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facility maintenance is a plus.
