Role overview
Join the Hamburg studio as an IT Support Specialist and take ownership of the everyday IT running of the Twin Harbour office. In this hands-on role, you will handle incoming support needs, decide what should be addressed first, and look for ways to streamline or automate existing processes. You will mainly support the Hamburg office while also contributing to wider Group IT work, including larger initiatives and security-related projects. The position reports to the IT Manager in Hamburg and is based on site.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot and resolve support tickets and service requests across hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Look after local network administration, including vendor coordination, updates, and resolution of connectivity problems.
- Manage employee and device lifecycles, including onboarding and offboarding access and equipment.
- Keep asset records current, maintain inventory, and arrange hardware and software for new employees.
- Carry out scheduled access reviews and audits.
- Administer a broad set of SaaS applications, adjusting access as needed.
- Purchase and track IT equipment, maintain supplier relationships, and oversee hardware and software inventory.
- Contribute to IT projects and security-focused initiatives.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently across the company.
- Support a global workforce and work closely with IT teams in other regions.
- Review current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement better business workflows where needed.
What you're expected to bring
- A proactive, helpful attitude and a willingness to support others.
- Practical IT experience in a similar support role.
- Hands-on familiarity with Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android environments.
- Ability to manage Google Workspace, Slack, and Microsoft 365 for everyday operations.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as switching, firewalls, subnetting, wireless technologies, VPNs, and LAN/WAN setups.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- English fluency; German language skills are an advantage.
