IT Project Manager

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who can take ownership of strategic technology initiatives and deliver them successfully across the organization. This role calls for someone who can oversee projects end to end, keeping them aligned with business goals, quality expectations, timelines, scope, and budget.

The right candidate will bring strong leadership, excellent communication, and solid stakeholder management abilities, along with a background in delivering complex IT projects in enterprise settings.

What you will do

• Drive IT projects through all stages, from initial planning and execution to monitoring and final closure.
• Set and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and staffing needs.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and external partners to achieve project success.
• Create, update, and maintain detailed plans, timelines, and progress updates.
• Spot project risks and issues early and put practical mitigation measures in place.
• Control budgets, resources, and timelines so work stays efficient and on track.
• Organize project meetings, workshops, and steering committee discussions.
• Ensure work follows governance requirements, internal policies, and quality standards.
• Report milestones, dependencies, progress, and key performance indicators to senior leadership.
• Support change management efforts and help teams adopt new solutions smoothly.
• Encourage teamwork and keep communication clear across all project participants.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

At least 10 years of experience in IT project management is required, with a strong track record of delivering complex enterprise-level technology projects. Candidates should have handled projects across the complete lifecycle and have experience in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.

Professionally, the role requires a strong grasp of project management methods, frameworks, and best practices. Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is expected. A good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle is also needed. Experience leading cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party providers is important. Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum Master are highly valued.

From a soft-skill perspective, the ideal candidate should have strong leadership, organization, and stakeholder management capabilities, along with sharp analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Very good spoken and written English is required, and Arabic would be an added advantage. The role also demands the ability to manage several priorities at once in a busy environment, plus strong interpersonal skills for building productive working relationships.
