Overview
We are Eil Global, an IT services organisation operating across Asia Pacific and EMEA. The company works with a broad range of technologies, including desktops, servers, networks and data centre systems, and is based in Adelaide, Australia with clients and offices across both regions.
The business is seeking experienced IT engineers to provide onsite support for service needs in Adelaide and across Queensland locations. The engagement is suited to professionals who can work in an on-call, ticket-driven arrangement and respond when required.
Role Details
Position: IT Support Engineer (On-Call / Freelance / Casual)
Location: Moreton Bay, Kallangur, Beenleigh, Heathwood, Acacia Ridge, Brisbane and other places in Queensland
Working mode: Dispatch-based, on-call ticket handling, freelance, part-time or casual support
Support expectation: Same-business-day (SBD) or next-business-day (NBD) assistance, or support whenever needed
What You Will Do
You will deliver onsite technical assistance and help maintain a strong customer experience while resolving day-to-day IT issues.
- Provide desktop support and resolve hardware and software faults.
- Set up and troubleshoot audio/video conference rooms.
- Carry out operating system installations and device re-imaging tasks.
- Assist with network troubleshooting across LAN and WAN environments.
- Configure and support routers, switches and related network equipment.
- Respond quickly to incidents and service requests.
- Record support actions and final resolutions according to company process.
- Work closely with internal teams and client contacts to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements
The role calls for someone with practical onsite IT support experience and the ability to work independently in a dispatch-based environment.
- Experience supporting desktops, hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Ability to handle AV/conference room setup and related issues.
- Hands-on knowledge of OS installation and re-imaging.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with routers, switches and network infrastructure.
- Strong responsiveness to urgent support tickets and service calls.
- Good documentation habits and procedure compliance.
- Comfortable collaborating with internal teams and customer stakeholders.
- Business English plus local language skills.
