Associate Frontend Engineer

About the role

Alpine Business Consulting is engaged when enterprise systems are no longer performing as expected. The team focuses on improving performance management and reporting tools for clients that need reliable, unified financial data. The partner for this role is a large logistics company that depends on accurate, real-time reporting to run global operations. At present, its internal reporting interfaces are hard to use and do not provide the clarity needed for fast decisions. The company is seeking an Associate Frontend Engineer to help rebuild and improve these interfaces so the internal team can spend less time wrestling with software and more time on their core work.

This is a permanent, full-time role in a fully remote setup. There is no central office and no expectation of travel. You will work closely with senior consultants who bring substantial industry experience, converting complex needs into polished, practical web interfaces.

What you will be doing

Your work will focus on developing and supporting the frontend layer of client projects. The role is about more than visual polish; it also involves making sure data displays are accurate and that finance users can move through the system easily. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating responsive web UI components with modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Working with consultants to understand the reporting requirements of the logistics client.
• Turning technical briefs and wireframes into reusable, maintainable code.
• Preparing clear documentation so the client can understand and manage the frontend after handover.
• Helping test new functionality to confirm stable behavior across browsers and devices.
• Joining code reviews and using feedback from senior engineers to strengthen your technical skills.

What we need from you

This position is aimed at someone at the beginning of their career, or an intern who wants to move into a full-time role. The team values eagerness to learn and a careful approach more than an extensive work history. The ideal candidate should have:

• A good grasp of HTML, CSS, and foundational JavaScript.
• Some hands-on exposure to React, Vue, or another comparable frontend framework.
• Strong written communication skills, since remote collaboration and documentation are important.
• Interest in data presentation and an eye for whether tables and charts are actually useful.
• The ability to stay dependable and organize your own time in a remote work environment.
• A habit of asking questions when requirements are not fully clear, with a preference for accuracy over rushing.
