Internal Control and Audit Officer

About the Role

The position of Internal Control and Audit Officer is open at the administration of Petrol Company SH.P.K located in Miradi e Ulet, Fushe Kosove, District of Pristina, Kosovo. This role primarily focuses on accounting and finance functions and supports the integrity and accuracy of financial operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of accounting records and ensure the accuracy of system entries.
• Verify reconciliations of receivable and payable accounts including matches with suppliers and customers.
• Review inventories, stock levels, and their consistency against source documentation.
• Examine calculations, pricing, and margin accuracy.
• Check tax declarations for compliance with current legislation.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify risks and weaknesses in processes.
• Test the implementation of company procedures and policies.
• Prepare audit reports detailing findings, conclusions, and practical recommendations.
• Monitor the execution of corrective measures approved by management.
• Collaborate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation.
• Perform additional duties in accordance with company rules and workplace guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or Economics.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, or internal control.
• Good understanding of Kosovo tax legislation and procedures of the Tax Administration of Kosovo (ATK).
• Experience with calculations and margin assessments.
• Professional certification such as SCAAK or equivalent is considered an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Possess analytical skills, precision, integrity, and confidentiality in data handling.
