We are seeking an Interior Designer to join our Atlanta, GA office who is deeply passionate about design quality and possesses strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. This professional will have a broad understanding of relevant codes, processes, and design trends, excellent mentorship abilities, and a talent for nurturing client relationships.
Job Duties
- Collaborate closely with Design Leaders, Project Managers, Architects, Interior Designers, Urban Planners, and emerging professionals on ongoing projects
- Support additional design and marketing initiatives within the firm
- Develop and present visual materials for client meetings and communications
- Explore personal design interests under the guidance of skilled mentors
- Manage design assignments throughout all phases of projects
- Coordinate architectural drawing integration across different disciplines
- Facilitate effective communication among project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants
- Contribute to client satisfaction, design excellence, and project profitability, aligning with the firm's strategic goals
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven technical skills in producing design and construction documentation
- Proficiency in Revit software
- Experience with graphic tools like SketchUp, Lumion, or Enscape
- Knowledge of applicable codes such as state building codes, FGI Healthcare Guidelines, NFPA, IBC, ANSI 117.1, and BOMA
- LEED accreditation or willingness to obtain it preferred
- Understanding of design and procurement workflows
- Ability to lead, motivate, and resolve project challenges effectively
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited institution or equivalent field
- Preferred 8 or more years of design experience within an architecture firm
- NCIDQ certification is favored
