About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Instrument Planner to join our Asset Maintenance Team based in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective maintenance planning, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, and enhancing equipment reliability to support safe and efficient onshore facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance plans that align with key performance indicators and operational goals.
- Create detailed scopes of work for maintenance tasks and ensure readiness for execution.
- Allocate and manage resources such as manpower, materials, tools, equipment, contracts, and logistics.
- Monitor daily maintenance notifications and work orders to ensure accurate planning, feasible completion timelines, and avoidance of duplicate requests.
- Ensure all maintenance costs are accurately captured and authorized within work orders.
- Maintain adherence to company maintenance standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage SAP Master Data Governance requests to correct or update Bill of Materials information.
- Prepare documentation for Material Return to Stock processes for surplus or unused materials.
- Coordinate monthly Preventive Maintenance reviews and plan tasks at least twelve weeks in advance.
- Update SAP PM task lists for routine and recurring maintenance activities.
- Support work order closure activities, including Technical Completion tasks in SAP.
- Work closely with Maintenance Supervisors, Senior Planners, Schedulers, System Analysts, Engineering, Projects, and Supply teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Engineering.
- At least seven years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, or process industries.
- Minimum of three years in dedicated maintenance planning or scheduling roles.
- Experience supporting maintenance in onshore processing facilities such as LNG plants, refineries, or petrochemical plants.
- Proficient with SAP PM for maintenance planning, work order handling, preventive maintenance, and reporting.
Technical and Professional Skills
- In-depth understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling workflows.
- Expertise in SAP PM and maintenance management software.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, Bill of Materials management, and work order lifecycle.
- Strong organizational, planning, and coordination capabilities.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Good computer literacy and capability with maintenance reporting tools.
