Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to become a valuable part of their IT Service Operations division. This practical role involves managing and improving critical infrastructure components such as Microsoft 365 services, network operations, and security platforms. The candidate will be integral to providing secure, dependable, and efficient IT services while participating in various infrastructure projects and ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and provide support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, and Intune.
• Oversee Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization technologies, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Support network and firewall systems, specifically Cisco and Palo Alto devices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues across infrastructure, network, and Microsoft 365 platforms.
• Lead infrastructure project delivery from initial planning stages through to execution.
• Collaborate with external vendors and support teams to ensure seamless service operations.
• Maintain security measures through continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and patch management.
• Perform Disaster Recovery testing and ensure all technical documentation is accurately maintained.
• Participate in continual service improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a third-level degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or IT operations roles.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and systems engineering practices.
• Solid knowledge of networking, firewall technologies, cloud computing platforms, and security protocols.
• Experience working in regulated environments is considered an advantage.

• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Intune Administrator (MD-102)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
• CompTIA Security+
• ITIL 4 Foundation
