Job Overview

RG Stone Urology & Laparoscopy Hospital is seeking a dedicated ICU Staff Nurse to join its Nursing-ICU department at its Payal, Ludhiana location. This role involves providing critical care nursing under the guidance of an Intensivist or Anesthetist.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs continuously and initiate medical interventions when required.
• Develop, implement, and assess individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Early identification and management of complications such as infections, bleeding, or respiratory distress to prevent patient deterioration.
• Assess and administer prescribed pain medications to manage patient discomfort effectively.
• Adhere to strict hygiene and safety measures to minimize infection risks and safeguard patient health.
• Offer emotional support to patients and their families during critical situations.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient medical records, interventions, and responses.
• Manage medication and consumable inventories to ensure stock availability.
• Ensure all biomedical equipment is functional and maintain respective checklists.
• Oversee and maintain the crash cart trolley at all times.
• Prepare patients for ICU discharge by ensuring stability and providing clear discharge instructions.
• Document patients' recovery progress meticulously, including treatments and observations relevant to ongoing care.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in training sessions.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements

• A Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• At least 2 years of professional experience working in ICU or HDU settings.
• Proficiency in operating emergency medical equipment.
