Role Overview

We are seeking a dependable and diligent Hygiene Operative to join our Teynham site team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role involves upholding rigorous cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards within a dynamic logistics environment.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Shift pattern: Sunday to Wednesday, 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Wages: £12.71 per hour on Monday to Wednesday; £15.25 per hour on Sunday.
• Overtime compensated at £15.25 per hour.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform hygiene and cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including external yard, loading bays, vehicles, and warehouse spaces.
• Maintain ongoing cleanliness and promptly address potential hazards.
• Adhere to company policies such as BRC standards, Health & Safety guidelines, and HACCP protocols.
• Operate cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment safely and economically as per training.
• Report any site defects, damages, or maintenance needs to management.
• Conduct work at height after suitable training and competency verification.
• Consistently wear proper personal protective equipment, especially during yard duties.
• Provide support to Facilities and Site teams when trained and qualified to do so.

Qualifications and Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in hygiene, cleaning, warehouse, logistics, or facilities environments is advantageous.
• Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on attitude and effective teamwork.
• Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and inside chilled warehouse areas.
• Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Confident in using equipment like jet wash systems following proper training.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards for self and others.
• Willingness to provide additional support during peak seasons such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Easter.
