About ConnectedHR and the Role
ConnectedHR, recognized on Inc. Magazine's 2026 Best Workplaces list, provides part-time fractional HR leadership to small and mid-sized companies, partnering closely with their leadership to deliver strategic and practical HR solutions. We are seeking an experienced HR Director Consultant to join our award-winning team in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a part-time, W-2 employee position with a stable schedule providing onsite support during regular business hours across the Cleveland metropolitan area. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $110,000 annually based on full-time equivalency and is prorated by days worked per week.
This role is for seasoned HR professionals who excel in client-facing environments, balancing strategic leadership, hands-on project execution, and advisory functions while maintaining healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic and tactical HR consulting aligned with client business goals.
- Advise senior executives and leadership teams on complex human resource issues.
- Lead and manage HR projects including systems implementation and process enhancements.
- Drive organizational design, change management initiatives, and leadership development programs.
- Perform employee relations investigations and manage corrective action processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local employment legislation.
- Effectively influence organizational culture, employee engagement, and overall effectiveness.
- Support recruitment and talent acquisition by optimizing workforce planning, job descriptions, interview strategies, and hiring processes.
- Collaborate internally with ConnectedHR and ConnectedTALENT teams to exchange knowledge and best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in HR business partnering or HR leadership roles.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing HR projects, including HRIS/HCM systems implementation and process improvements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all core HR disciplines.
- Strong executive presence accompanied by excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Solid business acumen with capability to align HR strategies to organizational goals.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally within the Cleveland metropolitan area.
- Professional demeanor, confident, collaborative, and results-driven.
