Role Overview
This is a full-time, in-office Human Resources Administrative Officer position based in Ahmedabad. The role focuses on supporting everyday HR operations across project and office locations, including employee record management, HR documentation, recruitment coordination, onboarding support, policy administration, payroll inputs, attendance and leave tracking, and upkeep of HR databases and HRIS records. You will also assist with employee queries, engagement activities, performance review paperwork, training coordination, and statutory compliance, while working closely with HR leadership and line managers.
Core Responsibilities
- Create, refine, and roll out HR policies covering areas such as leave, attendance, conduct standards, and performance management.
- Support payroll processing, salary administration, leave handling, and benefits-related tasks.
- Manage travel reimbursements and other expense claims.
- Run hiring processes for technical and managerial positions, including posting openings and coordinating HR interview rounds.
- Partner with business leaders on engagement, retention, performance management, and broader organizational development needs.
- Encourage a healthy workplace culture through clear communication and effective conflict handling.
- Respond to employee issues, complaints, and disciplinary matters in a prompt and balanced manner.
- Plan and execute employee engagement programs that improve morale and productivity.
- Coach managers on performance concerns and related people-management topics.
- Track that performance reviews happen on schedule and align with organizational objectives.
- Assess learning needs across the company and help build suitable training plans.
- Organize and conduct training programs, workshops, and seminars.
- Make sure the organization follows relevant local labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Prepare HR reports covering metrics such as attrition, organizational structure, and internal movement.
- Study market trends to compare salaries and benefits against industry benchmarks.
