Overview
This position in Doha, Qatar, involves managing human resource operations within a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) for Artan Holding, focusing on employee relations and HR policy compliance.
Key Relationships
- Internal: All company employees
- External: Vendors, government bodies, banking institutions, auditors
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a reliable contact for employees and managers within the assigned SBU, addressing workplace issues thoughtfully and confidentially.
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances with fairness and privacy.
- Mediate employee disputes to foster effective conflict management.
- Coordinate across various departments including Document Control, Government Relations, Recruitment, Procurement, Finance, Real Estate, and Maintenance to address staff matters efficiently.
- Prepare and review employment contracts and related personnel documents promptly.
- Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems ensuring timeliness and correctness.
- Respond promptly to employee payroll queries, HR policy questions, and requests for official certificates.
- Monitor attendance records to assure punctuality and proper leave application via the Employee Self-Service system.
- Provide accurate and timely information with supporting documentation to payroll to ensure error-free salary processing.
- Manage onboarding procedures including document collection for legal compliance, coordinating with government relations for work visa processing, assisting with family mobilization and accommodation, and facilitating induction programs.
- Execute offboarding processes such as exit interviews, visa cancellations, bank notifications, final settlements, insurance processing, and handling any deductions or recoveries.
- Compile and analyze exit interview feedback to detect patterns requiring HR attention.
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies in line with labor laws and best practices, communicating changes effectively to employees and management.
- Research employment laws and workplace trends to recommend policy updates and improvements, including regular HR handbook reviews.
- Ensure organizational adherence to employment laws and internal policies, assist with audits, and propose corrective actions for compliance gaps.
- Encourage and facilitate employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, recognition programs, wellness activities, and team events to enhance workplace satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit regular reports including daily activities, weekly case transactions, monthly audit outcomes, and quarterly/yearly HR metrics such as turnover and absenteeism.

- Measure employee satisfaction via surveys and feedback mechanisms.
- Track timely resolution of employee relations issues through weekly reporting.
- Ensure full compliance with HR policies, monitored regularly.
- Complete scheduled policy audits to maintain compliance standards.
- Report and resolve policy violations and employee grievances promptly.
- Complete a minimum of 15 skills training modules and participate in three HR seminars annually.
- Develop and implement at least three employee wellness or engagement initiatives yearly.
