Role Overview
The HR Generalist position supports the Payments division by delivering comprehensive HR services throughout the employee lifecycle. This role collaborates with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and business leaders to promote a positive employee experience and ensure adherence to company policies and employment laws. It is suited for candidates with 1–3 years of HR experience seeking to expand their expertise in a fast-moving technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an initial point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related inquiries.
- Manage high-volume onboarding, offboarding, and internal transfers while maintaining accurate HR documentation and system updates.
- Work alongside HR Business Partners to support organizational initiatives within the Payments division and assist managers with routine employee relations guidance.
- Help coordinate performance management, talent reviews, annual compensation processes, organizational restructures, and workforce planning.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to facilitate hiring, onboarding orientation, and track probationary periods.
- Assist in investigations of employee concerns, maintain confidential records, and support performance improvement and disciplinary procedures.
- Process employee status changes, promotions, salary adjustments, and oversee monthly sales performance reviews as well as annual merit and bonus cycles.
- Ensure accuracy of HRIS data, produce reports and metrics for leadership, and maintain compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Support audits, document retention, and participate in HR projects such as employee engagement programs, process enhancements, change management, communications, and training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of human resources work experience.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication abilities and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Effective organizational and time management capabilities.
- Preferred experience supporting technology, fintech, payments, SaaS, or rapidly growing companies, as well as multi-state or global workforces.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Rippling, UKG, Workday, or SuccessFactors; HR certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP are advantageous.
- Basic understanding of employment legislation and best HR practices.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
This fully remote position is open to applicants located within the continental U.S. excluding Hawaii and Alaska, offering a base salary range between $50,000 and $65,000 USD.
