Home-Based Estimating Specialist

DCX PH Inc., a prominent BPO supporting US clients in the lighting industry, is seeking a full-time Home-Based Estimating Specialist. This position provides an opportunity to leverage your existing skill set while gaining new experiences in estimating and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist estimating, project management, and construction teams with fundamental tasks promptly and accurately.
• Conduct take-offs from construction plans to quantify fixtures and materials.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings and submittals for projects.
• Screen and evaluate upcoming bids, considering special conditions such as prevailing wage and bid bonds.
• Maintain and regularly update project documentation and records.
• Support estimators and project managers with various project-related needs.
• Build and sustain expertise in waterproofing, air barrier, and fireproofing product applications and installation.
• Provide accurate cost estimates by analyzing project blueprints and collaborating with quotation teams.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned to support the department.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Construction Management, Estimating, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on construction experience, including materials management and site operations.
• Ability to interpret and estimate project costs from detailed plans and blueprints.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Professional demeanor with outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
• Familiarity with estimating software tools such as ISqFt, Building Connected, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, QuickBid, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Procore.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods while reading plans and specifications using a computer.

Compensation and Work Schedule

• Monthly salary ranging between PHP 55000 and PHP 60000.
• Business operates in the lighting sector.
• Scheduled work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday (US).
• Position requires impeccable spoken and written English fluency.
