Role Overview

As a DCX Client Services Home-Based Designer, you will serve as a full-time employee working closely with furniture dealers to craft efficient and visually compelling office environments. Your responsibilities include developing detailed floor plans, 3D renderings, and accurate project quotations to meet client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with furniture dealers to comprehend project scopes, budgets, deadlines, workstation requirements, and spatial planning needs.
• Produce floor plans and 3D visualizations using software such as CET, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.
• Recommend tailored furniture and workspace solutions aligned with client needs and project goals.
• Prepare precise project quotes, applying appropriate discounts where relevant.
• Revise quotations and designs to maintain accuracy and completeness throughout project progression.
• Identify opportunities to boost product sales through strategic design recommendations during planning phases.
• Incorporate feedback from sales and team members to optimize product selections while supporting profit margin objectives.
• Work closely with Customer Service and Purchasing departments to ensure seamless project ordering and execution.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation with timely completion of deliverables.
• Undertake additional design-related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in interior design, space planning, furniture design, or related fields, with preference given to those experienced in commercial office or workplace design.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work overnight or graveyard shifts aligned with Philippine time or US business hours.
• Familiarity with CET, SketchUp, and AutoCAD preferred but not mandatory.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong aptitude for computer use and rapid acquisition of new software skills.
• Basic math and measurement capabilities.
• Experience with space planning and understanding of office furniture systems and workplace design concepts considered advantageous.
• Capability to interpret client requirements and translate them into functional workspace designs.
• Understanding quoting processes and coordinating projects is a beneficial skill.
