Role Overview

The Headmaster serves as the chief leader and administrator of Highbury Angels School located in the Kumasi Metropolitan District, Ashanti Region, Ghana. This on-site, full-time position demands oversight of all academic and operational functions, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-achieving educational setting. Responsibilities entail supervising curriculum execution, supporting teaching and school staff, monitoring classroom dynamics, and encouraging pedagogical excellence. The role also involves managing student welfare, admissions, discipline, compliance with educational regulations, strategic planning, budgeting, and fostering collaborations with local communities and education authorities to drive the school's growth.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and foundation in educational theory and practice with a track record of enhancing teaching and learning effectiveness.
• Proven experience in curriculum design, development, implementation, and assessment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in school management, including staff supervision and school improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication abilities for engaging with students, staff, parents, and external partners transparently and respectfully.
• Possession of a bachelor's or master's degree in Education or related discipline; professional teaching certification is advantageous.
• Previous leadership experience in an educational institution, preferably as Headmaster, Principal, or Vice Principal.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving competencies with an emphasis on ethical and inclusive leadership practices.
• Knowledge of local educational policies and standards in Ghana, particularly within the Kumasi Metropolitan area, is advantageous.
