About the Role
Collaborating closely with senior managers, clinical leaders, corporate teams, and external partners, the successful candidate will advance a proactive, learning-focused culture in risk management across the Trust. This position involves advocating for modern, evidence-based risk methodologies, creating and refining robust systems and tools, and leading horizon scanning efforts to stay ahead of emerging risks, regulatory shifts, and industry best practices. The Head of Risk Management will also spearhead Trust-wide risk education initiatives to ensure consistent understanding and capability at all organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities
A critical responsibility is to cultivate and embed a positive risk culture throughout the organization. The incumbent will ensure operational leaders are clearly accountable for risk and integrate this accountability within directorate governance structures, transforming risk management from a siloed function into a collective responsibility. Achieving this requires outstanding communication, influence, and leadership skills.
