A leading global financial services company, operating fully remotely, seeks a Head of Operations to establish and scale robust operational foundations. This senior leadership role is based in Switzerland and focuses on driving effective, compliant, and resilient financial operations across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement a holistic operations strategy supporting business goals with emphasis on scalability, operational efficiency, compliance, and quality standards.
Oversee critical functions such as payments, treasury, reconciliations, card processing, back-office operations, and business operations to ensure seamless delivery.
Manage operational KPIs, enforce controls, and spearhead initiatives to elevate service standards continuously.
Lead efforts in process optimization, automation, and operational change management utilizing technology, data analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
Develop standardized procedures to enhance consistency, operational transparency, and efficiency.
Build and nurture a high-performing multidisciplinary operations team, encouraging accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
Collaborate closely with compliance, risk management, and financial crime teams to ensure operations adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
Establish frameworks for operational risk monitoring, reporting, control implementation, and audit preparedness.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations within banking, fintech, financial services, or wealth management sectors.
Proven track record managing and scaling diverse operational functions such as payments, treasury, settlements, and business operations.
Strong capabilities in process enhancement, operational transformation, automation, and developing scalable workflows.
Deep knowledge of financial regulations, AML compliance frameworks, and methods for preventing financial crime.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and fostering successful operational cultures.
Outstanding leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-resolution skills.
Strategic thinker able to translate organizational objectives into effective operational strategies.
Relevant experience with cryptocurrency, blockchain technologies, or digital asset operations is considered a significant advantage.
Comfortable operating in a fully remote international environment, demonstrating strong independence and collaborative skills.
