Group Financial Controller

About the Role

Artemis Human Capital is proud to represent one of Ireland's premier private equity-backed SaaS companies in their search for a skilled Financial Controller. This pivotal role supports the CFO and broader finance team, contributing to strategic initiatives and daily financial operations during an exciting expansion phase marked by active acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of management accounts, board reports, and investor updates.
• Lead statutory accounts creation and oversee annual audits, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and revenue recognition policies.
• Enhance internal controls focusing on balance sheet accuracy, deferred revenue, accrued income, capitalized commissions, and contract balances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning to align with investor expectations.
• Conduct cash flow forecasting and optimize working capital management.
• Generate financial analyses and KPI reports covering recurring revenue, customer retention, margins, acquisition metrics, and overall performance.
• Assist strategic decision-making related to pricing and commercial projects.
• Support M&A activities including due diligence, financial modeling, and post-acquisition integration.
• Drive finance process improvements, system enhancements, and reporting upgrades to enable business scalability.

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent designation).
• Previous experience with private equity-backed firms.
• Strong familiarity with SaaS or subscription-based financial models is highly desirable.
• Robust technical accounting expertise, especially in revenue recognition.
• Experience managing acquisitions and integrations.
• Background in finance transformation, process improvements, or systems implementations.

Benefits

• Competitive salary in the range of €90,000 to €100,000 annually.
