Role Overview

As a Global Business Development Representative focused on channel sales, you will drive expansion through our partner ecosystem. Your role involves identifying new business prospects, developing and maintaining strong partner relationships, and collaborating strategically with sales and marketing teams. You will empower partners to sell our products effectively, supporting revenue growth and enhanced market presence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish and sustain strong collaborative relationships with channel partners, serving as their main contact.
  • Create and implement plans to boost partner engagement and sales outcomes.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and channel opportunities to inform strategies.
  • Deliver ongoing training and guidance to partners to improve their sales capabilities.
  • Track partner performance metrics, ensuring alignment with Bandwidth’s business objectives.
  • Collaborate with partners to generate leads targeting assigned customer segments.
  • Assist the Account Director in navigating internal contract negotiations, legal processes, and pricing discussions to reach revenue targets.
  • Master the pricing and channel sales playbook, providing partners with standard pricing information.
  • Maintain and develop multiple points of contact within prospects, adopting value-based selling techniques throughout the sales cycle.
  • Gain deep insights into customer businesses to identify opportunities for selling additional Bandwidth services beyond initial interests, fostering broader strategic partnerships.
  • Contribute to refining the Channel Strategy for designated accounts alongside the Account Director.
  • Verify close dates and revenue forecasts are reliable and accurate.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline to consistently meet future revenue goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related area.
  • Minimum of two years in sales and business development roles.
  • Familiarity with the Telecom sector, including Go-to-Market strategies direct to wholesale resellers and enterprises.
  • Understanding of technology-driven customer experience solutions.
  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
  • Competence using internal resources like lead generation tools, marketing events, and industry best practices to identify and engage target accounts.
  • Strong team collaboration skills, working effectively across diverse teams.
  • Excellent presentation abilities for engaging with senior customer management.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with solution selling models, including CPaaS, CCaaS, UCaaS, or SaaS offerings.
  • Preferred experience using Salesforce CRM.
  • Background selling voice and SMS services.
  • Skillful in Microsoft Excel usage.
