Full-Time Optical Specialist at Sam's Club

Overview

The Optical Specialist provides exceptional service to Members by recognizing their needs, aiding with purchasing choices, product location, and resolving concerns while promoting Sam's Club products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding member service by addressing member inquiries, assisting with buying decisions, and promoting optical products and services.
• Ensure merchandise is attractively displayed by stocking, cleaning, organizing product presentations, removing damaged items, labeling prices properly, and securing delicate or high-loss items.
• Maintain the optical sales floor in line with company procedures, managing claims, returns, organizing merchandise zones, and identifying shrinkage or damage.
• Receive, stock, and organize optical merchandise, adhering to company guidelines and completing necessary documentation and logs.
• Operate cash registers and related equipment to process member transactions, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, following correct procedures for various membership and payment types.
• Perform sales of optical products and services by assisting members with selections, measuring, adjusting and repairing frames and lenses, completing eyewear and contact lens orders, verifying prescriptions, completing required paperwork, collecting payments for doctor services, and conducting optometric pretests with recorded results.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive pay ranging from $26.00 to $34.00 per hour, with potential premiums between $0.35 and $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific duties.
