Full-Time Nurse Staff Scheduler

Overview

River Point Behavioral Health is currently seeking a Full-Time Nurse Staff Scheduler tasked with managing the staffing and scheduling needs within Nursing Services. This role ensures the hospital is adequately staffed at all times, creating monthly and daily work rosters for Nurses and Mental Health Associates. Additionally, the incumbent may perform clerical duties supporting the Director of Nursing and serve as a Mental Health Associate on the unit when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain comprehensive monthly and daily schedules for nursing personnel.
• Coordinate staffing for Nurses and Mental Health Associates to guarantee continuous coverage.
• Carry out administrative tasks for the Director of Nursing.
• Support the inpatient units by providing direct care as a Mental Health Associate when required.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of patients, including children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric disorders.

Required Qualifications and Preferences

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent credential required.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology is desirable but not mandatory.
• Preferably at least one year of experience in the healthcare sector.
• At least two years of experience scheduling nursing staff is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
• Experience working as a Mental Health Technician in a psychiatric hospital setting with various age groups is encouraged.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is desirable.
