Role summary
This position combines front office and food & beverage support. You will welcome guests, manage reception tasks, assist with service in the bar and restaurant, and step in wherever needed to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. The role is practical, guest-facing, and suited to someone who enjoys variety and fast-paced work.
Key duties
- Greet guests warmly and make their experience feel personal and well cared for.
- Manage reception activities, including check-in and check-out processing.
- Act as a consistent point of contact for guests throughout their stay.
- Represent the hotel brand in a professional and welcoming way.
- Handle guest concerns efficiently and aim for a positive resolution.
- Promote the company loyalty programme, ALL.
- Prepare the paperwork and documents needed for the day.
- Support bar and restaurant operations by taking orders, serving meals, and checking guest satisfaction.
- Set tables, clear them, refill drinks, and help maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with setting up, closing down, and maintaining dining spaces for events.
- Help with cooking and buffet preparation, including replenishing items when required.
- Switch between reception and food & beverage tasks based on occupancy and operational needs.
- Complete front-of-house related duties and follow safety procedures for the property and people after training.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, customer-focused, and comfortable working without close supervision. You should be able to think quickly, handle multiple tasks at once, and take pride in delivering a smooth guest experience. Experience in night audit or accounts work is considered an advantage and may open pathways into operations or finance roles.
Eligibility
Applicants must already have the right to live and work in the UK and hold a valid work visa. Fluency in English is required so you can provide strong guest service and communicate effectively.
