Frontend Software Engineer - AI Trainer

Role overview

This position is for an experienced frontend software engineer who will contribute to AI training work on a coding-focused platform. The role is part of a large engineering community working on practical AI development projects across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related specialties.

The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You will collaborate with advanced AI models on programming tasks such as solving complex coding problems, building polished applications with substantial functionality, and turning data into useful insights through analysis and visualization. The output of your work helps improve intelligent systems as they learn and adapt.

Some contributors do this alongside a full-time job, while others use it as their main work and choose assignments and schedules based on their availability.

How the process works

After creating an account, you complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you receive confirmation by email and paid tasks become available through the platform.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will take on coding tasks that help train AI systems, with a strong focus on Android-related development work.

• Create and solve a range of programming challenges used for AI training.
• Produce well-structured code examples along with clear explanations.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, speed, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve future model behavior and quality.

Qualifications

Candidates should have strong English communication skills and be comfortable writing clearly and accurately. A bachelor’s degree, whether finished or still in progress, is required. Prior experience in software development, coding, software engineering, or programming is preferred.

Kotlin experience is preferred, and applicants should also be proficient in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.

Contract and payment details

This is an independent contractor arrangement. Work is paid hourly, with starting rates in the range of $50 to $100+ per hour and higher pay possible for some projects. Payment is made through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. No payment or fee is ever requested from applicants.

Location and eligibility

This opportunity is available only to applicants based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Candidates outside these countries will not see assessments or available work.

Contributors may select the projects they want to work on and decide when to work. The role can be done from a personal computer and from home.
